First off, home schooling is a legal option in Oregon. There are some laws dealing with it that the potential home educator must consider.
Will your child be at least 7 years old as of September 1st of this year? If NO, then no further action or notification is required. OAR (Oregon Administrative Rule) 581-021-0026 (11) If the answer is yes, then you need to send a one-time written notice of your intent to home school your child.
